• Students rock spring concert

    San Gabriel Mission High School hosted a Spring Sing concert March 13-14. The student-led event featured a wide range of Broadway musical numbers for an enthusiastic, standing room-only audience of students and faculty.

  • Mission High student wins full scholarship

    San Gabriel Mission High School senior Claire Cruz will attend Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, on a four-year, full-tuition scholarship. Cruz is a recipient of the Posse Scholarship, an award given to students of extraordinary academic ability and leadership potential.

  • Black and Gold Gala at Bosco Tech

    The Don Bosco Technical Institute will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a dinner, dance and auction. The Black and Gold Gala will be held on March 28 at 5:30 p.m. with proceeds going towards the school’s financial aid program.

  • Opus Dei hosts Lenten retreat

    Young professional women are invited to a Lenten retreat hosted by Opus Dei, a prelature of the Catholic Church. The retreat will last from March 20 at 7:30 p.m. to March 22 at 3:30 p.m.

  • Walkathon backs Dominican sisters

    Students, faculty and staff at San Gabriel Mission High School hosted a walk-athon on Feb. 5 in order to raise money for the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose’s Adult Day Care Center. They raised a total of $4,500.

  • Louisville shares stories

    This month, Louisville High School students began publishing articles to the recently formed Los Angeles Times website, HS Insider (highschool.latimes.com/about).

  • The American Federation Pueri Cantores

    The American Federation Pueri Cantores is sponsoring two sacred music festivals in the Southern California area, one for High School students and one for students in grades fourth through eighth.

  • Bosco Tech’s 4th Annual Yurak Memorial 5K run

    Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will host the Fourth Annual Yurak Memorial 5K Run at Irwindale’s Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area on Saturday, February 14, 2015. In addition to the race, the event will feature a free kids-only 1K Fun Run.

     

     

  • Ramona Convent hosts women’s symposium

    Sister Simone Campbell, SSS, an advocate on social issues, will be the keynote speaker for a women’s symposium held by Ramona Convent Secondary School as part of their 125th Anniversary Celebration.

  • Bosco Tech hosts math competition

    Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will host a mathematics competition for fifth through eighth grade students Feb. 7. Students from all San Gabriel Valley public and private schools are invited to participate.
