In Artesia: ‘United we praise’ at Holy Family
More than 1,000 parishioners, united in prayer, song and worship, participated in the first annual Prayer Rally at Holy Family Church in Artesia, to coincide and support the “Fortnight of Freedom” called by the U.S. Bishops.
The event was spearheaded and organized by Father Raymond Decipeda, pastor, with the help of Fathers Joachim Ablanida and Thomas Asia, assistant pastors, and parishioners.
The evening began with a procession of more than 30 banners representing the many active organizations and ministries of the parish, followed by the crowning of Our Blessed Mother, a living Rosary, and time for praise and worship. The event culminated with San Pedro Region Auxiliary Bishop Oscar Solis presiding at Mass.
This will become an annual event, according to parishioners, and “a tradition to pass onto their children and grandchildren.”
