Each year in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the Chrism Mass is celebrated on Monday of Holy Week (this year, April 6) at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. In the presence of priests, deacons, religious and laity, the oils are blessed by Cardinal Roger Mahony , and then distributed to parishes for use throughout the year.
