Knights' junior daughters feed the hungry

text only version

The Ladies Auxiliary Junior Daughter Court 306 of St. Albert the Great Church, Rancho Dominguez, recently participated in the Knights of Peter Claver (KPC) nationwide volunteer day entitled "National Brown Bag Day."

The group delivered toiletries, snacks, backpacks and other items to shelters in the Compton area. St. Albert parishioners' generous contribution of the items, said Court officials, were key to the success of the effort.

The Ladies Auxiliary is a branch of the Knights of Peter Claver, a national fraternal order which encourages its members to promote "friendship, unity and Christian charity."

Junior Daughters Chidi Oduma and Daisy Oduma were assisted by KPC Ladies Auxiliary Western States District Deputy Micaela LeBlanc, Western States Junior Daughter Directress Faith Otis, KPC Senior Court 306 founder and Compton Commissioner Catherine Solomon, Junior Daughter Counselor Lydia Price, Senior Court 306 Grand Lady Zackrea Jones and Senior Court member Carol Carr.
