AACCFE celebrates 10 years: Nov. 1
African American Catholic Center for Evangelization will celebrate 10 years of ministry Nov. 1 at St. John Chrysostom Church in Inglewood with a 10 a.m. Mass. Following the liturgy is a luncheon at St. Mary's Academy auditorium adjacent to the church property.

The work of the center, said Anderson Shaw, director, "has been an opportunity for the African American community to come together from different parishes and different pastoral regions to celebrate African American Catholic culture."

Throughout the year, the center sponsors annual archdiocesan-wide events and programs like the Martin Luther King, Jr. prayer breakfast, Black History Mass, a summer speaker series, and the certificate program in African American Ministry.

Tickets for the 10-year anniversary celebration are $20. Call (323) 777-2106.
