Cardinal Levada featured at L.A. Prayer Breakfast

text only version

Cardinal William J. Levada, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, will be the keynote speaker at the fourth annual Los Angeles Catholic Prayer Breakfast Sept. 16 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

The Los Angeles Catholic Prayer Breakfast was established in 2005 to reach the over 4.3 million Los Angeles area Catholics and bring them together in community for a morning of prayer and to celebrate their Catholic faith. This year's event will again be chaired by Allen and Kathleen Lund, and Tom and Margie Romano.

The day begins with 6:30 a.m. rosary led by the auxiliary bishops of Los Angeles, followed by 7 a.m. Mass with Cardinal Roger Mahony presiding, and the 7:45 a.m. breakfast and program featuring Cardinal Levada. Suggested donation is $30.

For information, call (800) 838-1356, ext. 130; email info@californiaprayerbreakfast.com; or visit www.californiaprayerbreakfast.com.
