NPM 2008 Regional Convention
set for L.A.

text only version

The National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) will hold its 2008 Western Regional Convention at the Wilshire Grande Hotel in Los Angeles.

"One Body, One Spirit in Christ" is the theme for the Aug. 4-8, 2008 event, which will be preceded Aug. 2 by a day for Hispanic Musicians. NPM schedules regional conventions in even-numbered years and a national convention in odd-numbered years; the 2007 national convention will be held July 9-13 in Indianapolis.

In preparation for the L.A. convention, NPM has invited local artists to devise a convention logo, to be used in event publicity and promotional materials. The logo should include the convention theme, dates and city, as well as the association. Entries and/or inquiries may be submitted to the Office for Worship, the local coordinating body for the convention, (213) 637-7262.

Founded in 1976 and based in Washington, D.C., the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) is an organization of musicians and liturgists to support and promote the value of musical liturgy.
