Ash Wednesday Message at Cathedral

text only version

At the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Cardinal Roger Mahony invited a representative group of immigrant children and young people to join him at the celebration of Ash Wednesday Mass Feb. 21. The youth, he said, represent those "who greatly need our help to bring about just and humane, comprehensive immigration reform. Once we begin to see these children in a personal way, we can then focus our prayer, sacrifices, and actions to assist them." For suggestions on how to assist children in need, he invited Catholics to visit the archdiocesan or Cathedral websites, www.la-archdiocese.org, or www.olacathedral.org.
